1st Biology Lecture of the Fall Semester 🧬

This fall marks the beginning of my 24th year teaching, my 8th year at my current university, and my 3rd year homeschooling our youngest.

It doesn’t matter how old you grow, the beginning of a school year is always exciting! I love teaching, and I will forever be a lifetime learner! 📓

I LOVED this story about second chances. The beautiful French countryside was like a warm embrace on a cloudy day. A sweet, charming romance! I look forward to the next book in the Escape to the French Village series.

Favorite quote: “Forty years of going along with what other people liked was a hard habit to break.”

I also thoroughly enjoyed the French that was sprinkled throughout the story. As someone who is actively studying the language, this was so fun and an added bonus to an already amazing story.

I walk to our florist on Main Street every week to pick up a small bouquet of local flowers for our home. It’s a routine that I absolutely love. And having fresh flowers around the house is refreshing!

This morning, as I was walking down Main Street a lady asked me if it was special occasion?

Life, I told her with a smile. I love flowers and seeing them around the house. And always some combination of sunflowers and lavender because they are my favorite. Every day is worth celebrating.

We talked for a few more minutes and had a lovely conversation about why there doesn’t need to be a special occasion to buy the pretty flowers or celebrate life.

It’s the little things.
